This song is probably the darkest song off the album. Its about falling head over heels for someone, and then you find out that they're not at all the person you thought they were. Meanwhile you're doing your best to try and keep them honest with you, even though you know they probably aren't.
From the first time that I kissed you
The sparks between us made the stars ignite
From the last time that I missed you
You stole the colors right from my sky
Its like I'm dreaming but I can't quite wake up
I'm trying to figure out what I'm meant to prove
The more I try the one thing I'm sure of
The only person that you ever really loved is you
Can't you be honest?
Can't you be honest with me?
Because there's something in your smile
That never was my style
I'm keeping you honest
I'm keeping you honest, baby
Because there's something in your smile
That never was my style
Would it be better if I left you?
Before I heard the whole story
Could I have done this without you?
You've got your hooks so deep inside me
Its like I'm dreaming but I can't quite wake up
I'm trying to figure out what I'm meant to prove
The more I try the one thing I'm sure of
The only person that you ever really loved is you
Only fall for someone, someone
That is willing to catch you
Can't you be honest?
Can't you be honest with me?
Because there's something in your smile
That never was my style
I'm keeping you honest
I'm keeping you honest, baby
Because there's something in your smile
That never was my style
Don't say something that you might regret
I think honestly your honesties are going to
Make me go crazy baby, crazy
Can't you be honest?
Can't you be honest with me?
Because there's something in your smile
That never was my style
I'm keeping you honest
I'm keeping you honest, baby
Because there's something in your smile
That never was my style
Don't say something that you might regret
Only fall for someone, someone
That is going to catch you
